Sioux Lookout Zone Family Physicians

If you are interested in working with First Nations people and providing a wide range of Family Practice services, you can enjoy a unique and rewarding experience in our large practice. We are located in the most northern reaches of Ontario where we serve 25 isolated First Nation communities. We are a welcoming inclusive group who value our locum physicians highly.

We accept locums for varying lengths of time depending on our needs and your availability. To work with our practice, physicians require an Ontario licence, ATLS, ACLS, NRP and/or NALS. We also recommend PALS, but this is not a requirement.

To make your adjustment easier, we provide a full day orientation for all new locums. We provide transportation and accommodations near the hospital with access to a shared vehicle. We also appoint a mentor from our contract physician group to help new physicians gain a quicker comfort level with our work and our clients. However, all of our physicians and staff are supportive and eager to make your locum in the Sioux Lookout Zone an interesting and pleasant one.
